Nashville Tribute Band will perform an evening dinner-concert under the stars at the 13-acre Eastman Gardens and Ranch in Grants Pass, Oregon; On Western tour of U.S., Nashville Tribute Band will premier a new CD
Grants Pass, Oregon (July 29, 2011) One of Nashville’s hottest bands, whose lead singer has written songs for the biggest country stars in the nation –including one that went platinum – will perform August 12 under the stars at the 13-acre Eastman Gardens and Ranch in Grants Pass.
The dinner and concert start at 7 p.m. and tickets are $40. Tickets can be secured by emailing Stacey Eastman, owner of Eastman Gardens, at Stacey@pulsemgmt.com or calling 760-801-2648. Eastman Gardens is located at 960 Riverbanks Road, just outside of Grants Pass. The ranch is nestled among the pine and oak forests of Mt. Sloan with scenic views of the Syskiyou Mountain Range.
The Nashville Tribute Band, produced by R Legacy Entertainment, will premier their new CD The Work: A Nashville Tribute to the Missionaries, as well as songs from two previous albums honoring the heritage and history of the LDS Church. The music is distinctively country rock and pop mingled with storytelling that creates an imaginative and original sound.
Lead singer and songwriter Jason Deere has made a career out of writing hit songs and developing hit artists. His song, Love’s Lookin’ Good on You, written for Lady Antebellum, went platinum. He’s also penned memorable tunes for Little Big Town, Leann Rimes, Jessica Simpson, Jim Brickman, SHeDAISY, Be Be Winans, Natalie Grant, Point of Grace, Wanessa Camargo, Leonardo, Luiza Possi, The Wreckers, James Wesley, Stealing Angels and Due West, and has a lengthy list of film and television credits.
Deere assembled an all-star cast of musicians to create NTB including Dan Truman, Grammy-nominated piano player for Diamond Rio; Emmy-nominated guitarist/composer Ron Saltmarsh; Katherine Nelson, known for her starring role as Emma in the film Emma Smith: My Story, as well as the hot country trio Due West.
Of his latest CD, Deere said “I want the world to know what a culture of sending missionaries out into the world, two by two, means to us as a people. Most of these missionaries are 19-20 years old. They are forgetting themselves, learning to love other people and devoting their daily lives to prayer and scripture study. It is a remarkable time in a young person’s life and I felt compelled to write about it.”

LDS band's album gives different take on missionary work
Mormon Life says: The man who started the band has written songs for Lady Antebellum and SHeDAISY. Jason Deere wants others to know what being a missionary means. He wants them to know the deep meaning of the work missionaries do. He wants them to know why members send sons and daughters out into the world by the thousands. And he wants them to "understand that there's a mom who gets down on her knees for one of those missionaries every night." Deere is an accomplished musician, but also a returned Mormon missionary himself. It was during his mission to Las Vegas that he walked out to the porch with his guitar one night and wrote a song about the Prophet Joseph Smith Jr. Read the rest of this story at deseretnews.com Inside Mormon Music: Jason Deere spreads light through a Nashville tribute Jason Deere has had phenomenal success in the music world as a songwriter, producer and publisher. I could brag about his cuts with Jessica Simpson, LeAnn Rimes, Lady Antebellum, The Wreckers and more, but you can read those credits on his bio. I want to focus on the story that unfolded the two Nashville Tribute albums and the new album coming out this fall. "Joseph: A Nashville Tribute to the Prophet" and "Trek: A Nashville Tribute to the Pioneers" have strengthened many testimonies, including my own. They have brought the Restoration of the gospel and the pioneer journey to life. In 2003, Deere was teaching early morning seminary. They were studying the Old Testament that year. "For whatever reason … I couldn't think about anything else besides the Restoration of the church," he said.
